Carry Out Your Wedding Theme with Matching Placecards and Place card holders

August 12, 2009

The difference is in the details!

A simple way to incorporate your wedding theme and your wedding colors on your reception tables is to use matching place cards and/or place card holders.

It’s a simple decorating stategy, but it’s not always easy to find matching place cards. That’s why Joyful Heart Design Custom Invitations offers matching place cards with every wedding invitation design. We can also print your place cards for you with your guest’s names, saving you lots of time.

For example, here is a Spring Garden Theme wedding invitation in yellow, green and brown, along with the matching place cards.

These were designed as tent cards, which fold and stand on their own. However, we would be glad to create the place cards as a flat card instead, to be used with a place card holder.

For instance, check out these lovely handblown glass miniature vase place card holders. Add some flowers in your wedding colors for a very elegant effect.

Or you could put your place cards inside an elegant gold frame, like the one below.

Or place them on top these adorable mini topiary place card holders.

Butterfly Wedding Invitation Design and Ideas

June 10, 2009

colorful butterflyButterflies make a great wedding theme not only because of their beautiful colors and unique shape, but also because of their symbolism. The butterfly is most commonly viewed as a symbol of new life because it goes through three stages of life— the caterpillar (birth), the chrysalis or cocoon (death) and the butterfly (resurrection.) Butterflies can also represent change, transition, transformation, celebration, joy, beauty, love and freedom.

Butterflies are very easy to incorporate into every part of your wedding from the invitation to the wedding ceremony to the reception.

I will start with wedding invitation ideas and then present wedding ceremony and reception ideas in subsequent posts.

Tiffany Blue and Peach Lacy Butterfly pocket wedding invitation

The trend in wedding invitations is now for invitations to very colorful with text that is not all centered but left-aligned or right-aligned or both, with modern designs that seem to fall off the edge of the paper. My Lacy Butterflies Pocket Wedding Invitation contains all of these elements, which explains why it has been so popular this year, especially for Spring and Summer weddings.

Here is what one client had to say about her Tiffany Blue and Peach Lacy Butterfly pocket wedding invitations:

“Thank you, thank you! We are working feverishly to get the invites out in today’s mail. They look terrific; I’ll send one to you for your book of collections…” —Ashley Johnson

It is shown here in the two most popular color combinations of tiffany blue & peach, and also in a range of different shades of pink— from hot pink to a medium rose pink to a light baby pink.

Yellow & Green Garden Theme Wedding Ideas

April 25, 2009

Are you planning a Garden Theme wedding for a Spring wedding or a Summer wedding? If you are considering using yellow and green as your wedding colors, here is an inspiration board with some great ideas to get you started.

There are a wide range of yellow flowers that are usually available in the Spring and Summer including yellow roses, lilies, tulips and of course yellow daffodils. If you want the brightest, vibrant yellow, go for a yellow gerbera daisy.

The yellow and green “Flowering Flourishes” pocket wedding invitation set is one of my original creations. It includes the invite, an accommodations card, a reception card and an RSVP card with a recipe card on the back. The pocket fold that is pictured is Lemonade Yellow, the mat is Spring Green and the invitations are printed on cream cardstock. The “Flowering Flourishes” design is elegant, yet contemporary with green stems and flourishes and modern style flowers in different shades of yellow with a hint of orange. Pricing and ordering info is available at www.JoyfulHeartDesign.com. Also available are matching Save the Date cards, Wishes for the Bride & Groom cards, Bookmark Favors, Favor Tags, thank you notes and any other wedding stationery you might need.

My Most Popular Pocket Wedding Invitation

November 15, 2008

After reviewing my wedding invitation sales statistics, I found that one particular invitation in a certain color combo is by far my most popular wedding invitation— the Mod Stripe Pocket Fold Wedding Invitation Ensemble in Tiffany Blue, Cream and Black.

Tiffany Blue & Black Mod Stripes Pocket Fold Wedding Invitation

It was no surprise to me that the Tiffany Blue Mod Stripes Pocket Wedding Invitation is my most popular wedding invitation because this particular wedding invitation not only has a very simple, classic, classy design, and is made using my handy, yet elegant pocket style wedding invitation, but it also is made with a very elegant, classy color combination that can be used any time of year, no matter what the season. The Mod Stripe Pocket Fold Wedding Invitation Ensemble in Tiffany Blue, Cream and Black has been used for Winter weddings, Autumn / Fall Weddings, Spring weddings and Summer weddings. The Tiffany Blue color says style, elegance and sophistication.

As with all of my pocketfold wedding invitations, the Tiffany Blue Mod Stripes Pocket Wedding Invitation showcases the main invitation on the left panel. The pocket on the left holds three inserts—usually an Accommodations card, a Reception card and an RSVP card with envelope. The elegant Tiffany Blue and Black stripes grace the top of the main invitation as well as the tops of each insert card.

Many brides elect to include a photo on the Reception card, adding to the keepsake value of the wedding invitation. Another special feature that you will not find in the wedding invitation catalogs is the option to include a recipe card on the back of the RSVP card. The RSVP or response card suggests that your guests write their favorite recipe on the back of the card and send it back to you. This is a great way to start a recipe file. The recipe cards are 3×5 so they fit easily into any recipe file box, or can be stored in plastic sleeves inside a notebook or scrapbook.

And the Winner is…

July 28, 2007

Wow!!! I have had so much fun hosting this giveaway in conjunction with the Dog Days of Summer Bloggy Giveaway with Shannon at Rocks in My Dryer. I thought it would be fun to bless someone with a set of notecards, but I think I am the one who got blessed. I was overwhelmed at the amount of comments (a total of 185) the post received. Thank you all for such lovely comments. But the best blessing is “meeting” so many neat ladies. I have not had a chance to visit everyone’s blog, but I plan to because the ones I have visited so far have been so uplifting and encouraging. And I have found some other groups that I would like to join. I am fairly new at blogging, but I think I am going to love it!

Anyways, back to the giveaway…

Drumroll please…

And the Winner is… Angela, who had the 75th comment… from www.demama.blogspot.com
Congratulations, Angela! I will email you to get details of where to send your prize.

And thanks again to everyone who left me a comment. This was so much fun! Please come back to visit me soon.
